I understand that you are searching for birth parents, but it is no easy.. it is a way.. to run step by step.. in other topic you said that she was related to AMATOs.. and just a question for you: you are sure that she was born in NY?

I’m not sure if this will help but my father and his siblings lived in Catholic orphanages in Brooklyn and the Bronx. They were never adopted out, although almost were, until the Church stepped in to stop it as their mother was still alive.
The Sisters of Mercy of Ireland ran most of the orphanages. They are still around and were instrumental in helping me to find my own family records.

well.. some discrepancy occurred..
Angelo Amato aka Rudolph Capraro was the son of Giuseppe Capraro and Carmela Aronica. By the genealogic tre on line he was born on 9 feb 1895 in Racalmuto, Agrigento, Sicily, IT.
In Racalmuto no one Capraro I found searching abt margery birth and Rodolfo (italian spelling ) birth.. So the info is no accurate.
Second discrepancy:
it could be ever possible that Margery appeared in 1894 Minnesota census, and her brother(?) was born in Italy on 1895? What happens? Mystery..

continuing...
I found the arrival of Rodolfo CAPRARO coming from Aragona, Agrigento, IT on 16 May 1913 on Canada ship.. his given name is mispelle d Radolfo instead of Rodolfo ( on the genealogic tree the arrival year is 1912. No right 1913) and his birth place : Licata. But I searched in Licata and I no found. Maybe Favara? ditto: no.

A brother of Rodolfo was Calogero Capraro. Calogero was born in CAMPOBELLO DI LICATA, Agrigento, IT. So no Licata, but Campobello di Licata. And I found his birth. Calogero was born on 20 dec 1889. Son of GIUSEPPE 29 old sulfatar and of Carmela Aronica

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=1946817

On the genealogic tree, Carmela was born in Campobello di Licata on 8 jun 1865 and effectively...
daughter of Calogero Aronica and Rosaria Fiorello...

http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0
so needs to find Rodolfo CAPRARO birth and to search if the couple, Giuseppe Capraro and Carmela aronico went in USA and then returned in Italy, where Rodolfo was born.. Because Calogero was born on 1889 if they was the biological parents of Margery, they went in USA after 1889 and returned lefting Margery...

YOU THINK THAT MARGERY was a sister of Rodolfo Capraro and Calogero Capraro, ( maybe he was Joseph Amato in USA) as a well of Gregory Capraro and Judith Amato?

Well just to understand a bit better: Angelo Amato aka Rodolfo Capraro was the father of Joseph Angelo Amato. Joseph Angelo Amato was the father of Judith Amato.
Just to make order...

as you were saying YOU THINK THAT MARGERY was a sister of Rodolfo Capraro and Calogero Capraro--we dont know --One tree in ancestry had possible birth mother to Margery Webster --Mary DOUGHTERY GAVE BIRTH TO A BABY GIRL IN 1886 AT Detroit Maternity home--could possible be margery mother--not sure---but then you said might be
Second discrepancy:
it could be ever possible that Margery appeared in 1894 Minnesota census, and her brother(?) was born in Italy on 1895? What happens? Mystery..--i am looking into this---

also this tree is in ancestry: Margery Webster (Adopted Name) PRIVATE Request for access to see this tree's details and in this tree VWT_2015-06-24 PRIVATE Request for access to see this tree's details---under this member on anscerty.com VWT_2019
