notation on birth act

Post by dmt1955 »

act #313....
second set of eyes, please.....

is this saying 20 apr 1887 corrects name to be angela NOT angelo or the other way around? its a bit confusing b/c angela and female is what is on the birth act.

and that mother's name is to be lucia, not saveria.

thanks so much,
donna

this tribunal by a sentence of April 20, 1887 rectifies the present act in the sense that it must read Angela and not Angelo, and in the name of the mother of the same, that must itself say Lucia and not Saveria

So technically the court sentence, in reality, was altering the name of the mother and not of the child herself

Hi Donna

Yes, I recall that you had another document with a similar notation which made things confusing.

Anyway, a very happy holiday season to you and yours as well. It's a wash for us this year, as we really can't chance getting together with our children and grandchildren. So a face-time holiday it will be for hubby and me.

What is weird, is that the act actually reads "Angela". I mean, I can't see the mistake they corrected by the note...

It is very strange, Pippo, and Donna posted another record not long ago, which had the same issue.
