Wondering if you could help me with a translation. When I was in Pacentro a few years ago, I was seeking some information on my great-grandmother, Maria Domenica Carabbia. At that time, the clerk told me she was unable to find anything on her and gave me the below note (also attached)

Since both my grandmother’s birth certificate and baptism record indicate her mother was Maria Dominica Carabbia, I am pretty sure a more expanded search is in order. I noticed that they only searched from 1835 to 1853…which is weird because my grandmother was born in 1892 and I would have thought they would have searched up to 1875. I want to compose a note to the town clerk making that request. Below is the English text and the google translation. I believe she was born in the 1860’s or 1870’s but it looks like the only time period searched was from 1835 to 1853.

• I am also interested in when she was married. Since my grandmother was born in 1892… her marriage was prior to that.
• When did she die? Our family history says that she died when my grandmother was small…so perhaps 1895?
• I would also be interested in finding out who her mother and father were.
I believe she had several brothers, Carlo Carabbia (born 1860), Franco Carabbia and Luciano Carabbia.

Here is the marriage in 1848 of Maria Domenica Carrabia's parents.

Dated 17 July 1848 in Pacentro
Groom: Raffaele Domenico Carrabia, 27, born in Pacentro, farmer residing in said town, son of Filippo [Carrabia] farmer residing Pacentro, and of Anna Cesaria Bosio(?), spinner residing in said town.
Bride: Almerinda Francesca Tollis, 29, born in Pacentro, residing said town, daughter of deceased Nicodemo [Tollis], and of Maria Angiola Caraccia (?), spinner residing in said town.
The parents of the groom, and the mother of the bride were present to give consent as the father and paternal grandfather of the bride were deceased.
The Banns were posted on 11 June of current year.

Documents provided to the official:
1 - birth act of the groom
2 - same for the bride
3 - act of death of the father of the bride
4 -- same for the paternal grandfather of the bride
5 - act of notification in the town resulting in no opposition to the marriage.

NOTE: The father of the groom signed the record with the witnesses and official

Church celebration of marriage took place on 30 July 1848.

He was age 56, a carpenter, and son of deceased Pasquantonio Tollis and deceased Marialba de Leonardis.

A question...I found Raffaele Domenico Carrabia's birth record (see attached). I think they are living at "Grada San Marco"...would that be the street in Pacentro they were living at when he was born? Also wondering if you have a take on his mother's name...Anna Cesaea Basio?

Yes, the place they lived and where the child was born. Also wondering if you have a take on his mother's name...Anna Cesaea Basio? BOSIO - I had translated that before in an earlier post. It is a surname found in Pacentro.
