Happy New Year to all!!! I am unsure of the spellings of a couple of names. Would someone please translate? The bride was Francesca Paula Lorello?? and her mother was Catharina Pirrone?? What is the word after her name and also were they married on the 9th? Thanks so much for any info.

Re: Help with marriage record for a Briganti
I believe the word after Catherine's name is "olin" which is Latin for "once" or "formerly" meaning deceased. That's what you get for having taken four years of Latin in high school.
I believe the words after Francesca's name indicates she is the legitimate and natural born daughter of her parents.
The heading reads the 9th but I didn't read the full text to see if the actual date of marriage differs.
I'm sure someone else will confirm or refute.

Re: Help with marriage record for a Briganti
Does that mean she is a widow (once married to a deceased husband) or that she is deceased too?
Re: Help with marriage record for a Briganti
The bride, when she was born, was the daughter of a married couple. But, at the time of her marriage, her father was dead. The same thing for the groom.
