Do you know the circumstances (adoption, etc.) surrounding her birth and why her father wasn't in the picture?

The fact that she referred to her "birth mother" suggests adoption or foster parents.

They wouldn't match. Her dad was my mom's twin brother, so she would not have gotten mtDNA from him, only from HER mother...
As in they would have a similar heritage like I explained to you about the Sidon_BA Levantine
She has not uploaded to any other sites yet. But I'd assume she would have to (at least to some extent) since we share a pair of grandparents.
This is nice though it's nice to find family heritage my mum is trying to do the same with hers and some of hers live in America, do you know of any sites ( not Ancestrydna ) that help people with family trees?

For trees, My Heritage, FTDNA are good ones. You can upload the Ancestry Raw Data to them. 23 & Me is good too, but you need to do their test (these 3 have better Italian matrices than Ancestry). You can also get DNA matches from MyTrueAncestry and Geneanet...

What was your result on my true Ancestry? The ''Italian'' on my mother's side was Latinum so from Lazio ( Rome is in Lazio ) do they give you the areas. All I got was something called ''Crusader night'' on MyTrueAncestry.

The fact that she referred to her "birth mother" suggests adoption or foster parents.
Her "birth" mother came from a troubled home (multiple siblings of different fathers, a cruel, pedophilic stepfather, etc). She referred to her mom as a "wild child". She married a 21 year old man (they were originally from TN) when she was only 14. They moved into an apt behind my uncle's restaurant. My uncle apparently lived there too as he was briefly separated from my aunt around that time (based on info provided by my eldest cousin). She had an affair with my uncle (who was 35 at the time, both of them married to others) when she was 16. Debbie was the result of that affair (born a month before her mom turned 17).

After Debbie's birth her mom left (perhaps after a payoff) and she was raised by her dad (now stepdad) and stepmom (her stepdad remarried). Debbie moved in with her step-grandparents (stepdad's parents) later on, so as she says "technically I wasn't adopted".

She said whenever the subject was broached about her birth mother (who her stepdad apparently loved very much) her dad would get bitter and blame "Mister X". Mister X was my uncle (he would mention him by name).

Debbie knew all of the correct locations, etc that I never shared. She even has an old newspaper ad for my uncle's restaurant (which closed and was demolished by the mid '60's). When it all came together, it was very surreal...

Was your DNA with match higher than normal because your uncle was your mother's twin?

In other words, if your parents weren't twins would you still have found her?

I'm assuming twins share more DNA than mere siblings, but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure that matters, since they were fraternal. Debbie matched me at 838 cM; my other first cousin matches (1 from Ancestry and 1 from MyHeritage) are 1212 cM and 1089 cM -- they are both sons of my dad's older brother (the oldest & youngest sons).

In comparison, my wife's 1st cousin matches average 500-800cM. It's that whole random replication thing...
