Re: Birth record translation?
Welcome to the forum.
Here’s his original 1898 Birth Record:
http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0
(You may need to click on Immagine7 to view the document – the smaller writing)
Here’s the translation:
Birth No 53: Francesco Antonio Appugliese
Registered in Matrice on 25 November 1898
Before the official of the town of Matrice appeared Urbano Appugliese, 25 yo, contadino (peasant/farmer), living in Matrice. He reported that at 9.15 am, on 23 November 1898 in Via Avanti Corte, No 40, from Giacinta Sabino, his wife, a contadina, living with him, was born a baby boy who he presented to the official and named Francesco Antonio.
(The other names mentioned there are just the witnesses to the birth registration proceedings.)
