"Deceased Simone and Giuseppa Viola, aged 50" ????
Don't see parents written as deceased on document ???
Amazing, thank you
Nicholas
Two brothers,Vincenzo and Francesco Sanicola born in Marineo, living in Marineo, end up marrying women who were living in an orphanage in Palermo, one in 1835, other in 1836.
Conservatorio di S. Spirito--------------hospice for foundlings.
Research of family now ongoing !!!!

Simone is deceased, but Giuseppa is still living and she is aged 50.
Take another look at the record. Just before Simone's name is the word "fu" which literally means "was" indicating that Simone is deceased. If both were deceased it would read "furono" before Simone or Giuseppa would also have the word "fu" before her name.
fu = was (sing.)
furono = were (plural)
Hope this helps.

Are you using a laptop or a PC? When I'm using my laptop I connect a second monitor to it which generally saves me having to edit images to make them easier to read. Using the second monitor has been a real time saver.
