Having problems with the Italian language? Do you need help to translate or understand an old family document? There is always someone who can help you!
I have been looking for birth, death and marriage records for Spezzano Grande, Cosenza. I came across this site but I am not sure if these records are what I am looking for. Can anyone help me figure out what these records are for Spezzano Grande. Thank you. Here is the link:
Thank you so much Marty. At least now I understand what I am looking at. I knew it wasn't like the birth, death or marriage records I am used to looking at. So I guess I have to look through them to see if any of the names look familiar. I don't know, however, the dates of the records for Spezzano Grande or if there is an index.
I am specifically looking to find information for:
Salvatore Pietro Guide - born in 1878
Rachel Martino - born around 1880
They are husband and wife and my husband's maternal grandparents.
Thank you, again, for your prompt reply to my inquiry. This is the best place to learn about Italian genealogy.

Thank you again. I don't know why either. I don't have much information on this part of my husband's family. Hopefully, I will be able to figure it all out. However, I thank you for you time!

I, too, am interested in Spezzano Grande records. The commune is now named Spezzano della Sila. A Family Search Wiki page offers a link to records; but one must go to a Family History Library at an LDS church or chapel or a public library offering access to these records. Our local Family History Library has been closed, for the most part, due to Covid. An elder opened the facility for me, but the mainframe was undergoing an update. I am frustrated. I wish these records were open.

One day the son of Margherita, Ladislaus, while returning from war stopped to greet his mother, along with several warriors, including Raimond...
