I'm reading Panaria but it is possibly a mis-spelling of Panarea. Can you link us to 1847 birth record of their son.

Panarea is a hamlet of Lipari and there are some records on line for Panarea but when I looked previously not a lot.

Thanks for posting these links.

I guess it is possibile that they did get married in 1840, shortly after the promise of marriage was declared, and that maybe the church details, for whatever reason, were then not annotated … not sure??? It’s a little strange though that their first child wasn’t born until 1847? .... but there may have been miscarriages, or maybe births that weren’t registered, during those years. I don't know.

I wondered about Michelangelo's birth year because I noticed that the 1847 records were in fact online so I went through them but didn't see a record there for him.

You may find the name Di Luca/De Luca swings a bit. I have the surname in my history and it changes here and there.

Good catch. I believe that there is an error in this birth record. Instead of writing the mother of the baby "Rosanna Bertuccio", they have written her name as Rosanna Tesoriero, which is the surname belonging to both Michelangelo and Rosanna's mothers. This must be the Giovanni who married Maria Concetta.

Father: Michelangelo di Luca, 22 yo, proprietario, living in said Contrada who presented a male born from Rosanna Tesoriero, 24 yo, living with him, his legitimate wife. Born the same day as the registration.

Following on from my previous post, here is a notorised document which I understand is addressing/correcting the error relating to his mother's surname in his birth document. It was amongst Giovanni and Maria Concetta's marriage allegati.
