Searching for Birth Parents of Grazia Dangello

Hi all, I am searching for the correct parents of Gratiza/Grazia “Grace” Dangello. Her husband was Michael Lamonica (possibly spelled Michele). Grace was born in Scario, Italy, I think in June of 1886. She died on August 18, 1952 in New Jersey, USA. Her husband Michael Lamonica had died a few years earlier on April 19, 1948.

My question is— who are her parents? The obituary clipping I found says “She was born in Italy, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Custatie) Dangello…” but I was told by a relative her parents names were Giovanni DeAngelo and Maria Giuseppa De Angelis. From my personal research, mainly through Ancestry, I came to believe her parents’ names were Giuseppe D’Angelo and Prospera Galeano.

What makes most sense to me is the name Giuseppe as a her father because of the name Joseph also mentioned, but I’m not sure.

Hi - more than likely "Dangello" is a misspelling of the correct surname. The following page shows "Dangello" doesn't currently exist as an Italian surname:

However, D’Angelo, D’ Angelo and De Angelis are current surnames in Italy:

Wow that is interesting. Would the last names D’Angelo and DeAnglo be interchangeable? I think the last name “D’Angelo” is the one that matches the most according to my findings.
