Help translating a letter

I need some help translating my ex uncle in-law who’s an 80 year old Sicilian and he writes to me in half Italian and half English! Lol. Any help would be wonderful!! Sorry, I had to separate it into 3 sections!

I want to thank you for the photo which shows the two of us. I would like to receive a photo of you without the mask? because I have a photo of Julia and I will put them close together so that I can put them close to me.

Anyways, I was understanding that it got damaged some how. but the word that is written is not so clear. Removing the letter makes sense.
