Staffiere family

Post by dolly90 »

I am looking to find more information on the Staffiere family. My great great grandfather Antonio Staffiere emigrated from Italy to Scotland in the 1870s. On the census, it says he was born in Naples, Italy and he died in Dunfermline in 1930 as a result of being knocked down by a bus. Does anyone have any information on my branch of the Staffiere family

Hello,

I have been looking into info on a relative of my partner. Her grandmothers name is Fairlie and she was born in Uphall West Lothian. She had a nephew who was brought up by her parents. On the nephews birth certificate there was just the mothers name Euphemia Bonthron Fairlie. When the nephew was married he was married under the surname Fairlie. It also stated that his fathers name was Staffiere. I believe his name was John L Staffiere.

On the genealogic tree mentioned in my last post, well John Lemon Staffiere was the son of Antonio Staffiere who the topic author was researching for.
John Lemon Staffiere was born on 1888 and died on 1965 and he married on 1928 to Euphemia Bonthron Fairlie
