Help with notation under witness signatures

Post by delfgill »

Hi Everyone,

See attached birth #30 for Giuseppina. My apologies for not having a link to the record.

I’m aware of the notations in the right margin referencing the closing of the register. However, I hadn’t noticed until today that there’s also a notation underneath the witness signatures. It appears to be a verification of some sort.

Any thoughts on what it might say?

Thank you.

It is the four-monthly check, at the end of the four-month period, by the praetor.
