transcribe marriage for Domenico Ferraro and Maria Peri

Post by tblakely31 »

Could someone transcribe this marriage document. It is the one on the left for Domenico Ferraro and Maria Peri. I believe it is my Great, Great Grandparents. Would also like to know if it has any of their parents names.
Thanks,
Tammy

I spend yesterday looking for Maria Peri's mother Rosaria di Marco death record. This was the only one I could find that was close to last name of di Marco. Could #54 be Rosaria di Marco death record? She was married to Matteo Peri and died sometime before 1878. I believe on 2nd page I see word Peri. If this is her could I get the record transcribed please.

This is the declaration of death for Rosario Marco, wife of Matteo Peri.
Rosaria died on 6 January 1869 at 5 pm in her home in this town of Montemaggiore, Via Peri.
She was age 46, a spinner, daughter of deceased Giacomo and deceased Carmela Vizzini.
The record is dated 18 April 1869.

Am I correct in assuming this is Marie Peri's deceased mother Rosaria di Marco's record? The di is missing from Marco but her husband was Matteo Peri which matches up.

Yes, it appears so. The prefix "di" is not used here.

To confirm...
Here is the birth act of Roasria di Marco in 1825 in Montemaggiore Belsito.
Same parents: Giacomo di Marco and Carmela Vizzini.

Okay I am confused with this marriage record I found from 1881. Could someone transcribe #60. For Matteo Peri and Vincenza Arcara. Does it say anything about being a 2nd marriage?

The marriage record at the start of this thread for Domencio Ferraro, deceased father Cruciano Ferraro and mother Vincenza Arcara, and Maria Peri, father Matteo Peri and deceased mother Rosaria Dimarco.

Did Maria's father Matteo Peri marry her husband Domenico's mother Vincenza Arcara???

I have another document that says Matteo Peri's father is Santo Peri and this marriage record I believe says Matteo's father is Santo Peri.

Even though they are not blood related was this something that happened back then when spouses died?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Tammy

Thank you Tessa78!!
Such interesting information. This is the most luck I've had in years finding records!
I was trying to find the death record for Cruciano Ferraro. In his son Domenico Ferraro's marriage record in 1878 it said he was deceased. I started at 1878 and went down from there with no luck. There was no 1860 and 1861 death records. Are those not available to view online? Is there a limit on asking for records to be translated?

This record is my 4th Great Grandmother Carmela Vizzini. Would you be able to translate it for me. I can make out her name and her husbands name. Does it say if her husband is alive or deceased? Does it have her parents names? Does it say town they are from?

Carmela Vizzini died on 30 March 1847 in hospital.
She was age 45, and widow of Giacomo Marco.
Carmela was born in Palermo and resided in Montemaggiore.
She was a spinner.
No parents are named in the record.
