Interpretation Of Birth Record For Cateno(SP??) D'Amico

Post by Belsitoj »

Hello. I would appreciate it if someone can interpret this birth record for Cateno D’Amico. (I Believe that is how it is spelled).

The record can be found at:

Page 53 Record Number 150.

Thank you so much..

Joe

Birth Act
Dated 31 March 1894 in Villarosa
Child presented by Rosa Fasciana, 60, housewife, who declared that the child was born 10 AM on the 30th of March in the house in Via Gelfo #12, to Giuseppa Rivituso, housewife, wife of Domenico D'Amico, sulfur miner, both residing in this town. He was given the name Cateno.
The declarant [Fasciana] made the presentation because she assisted with the birth, and in place of the husband of Giuseppa Rivituso, because he was absent from the family.
