It feels like home looking at all these shots!

Nice to see the Gelati and Cappuccino bars... along with the flags and balloons... and especially nice to see all the paesani!!

I didn't go the the festivities on our St. Clair Ave. W.... but the major and minor streets near me were making their own noise....

The following day... lots of rain... and Toronto was absolutely quiet.. maybe hungover too...

The game was great. I felt i was in Italia, and it was pure chaos. As soon as we got the final shootouts everyone poured into the streets screaming ITALIA ITALIA ITALIA!!!!!!! There was a guy who was riding a bike with free canoli for everyone. They played the italian national anthem. Everyone was beating on pots and pans, drum, pouring expensive champagne all over the place. Everyone from the old, to the young to people in wheelchairs were havign fun and showign their italian pride.

There was one street open that crossed through at the end of the couple of blocks and that was even crazier!!!! Carloads of familys, young kids, grandparents EVERYONE you could think of was driving by with flags and honking their horns till 3 am. All the local and national news was there. Im just so glad i went. I wouldnt have missed in in the world.


On a side note i recently went to Italy, and got to go to Panni and meet some people there and take soem great pictures. I havent had the chance to make a post about that trip but i will soon and post all the pictures.......

Pepino is no stranger to me... (one of his first posts was one of my favorites...) I just loved how his post progressed within time... plus he drops a note just to say hello once in awhile He was in Canada... and I'm sure he had a wonderful time here.

Yes Maria,
we, I and Raffaella, have been always good friends thanks to genealogy, but we never met each other before. So since I was going to spend my vacation time to my parents house in Trapani, and Termoli was on the way to south, I decided to stop by few days.
Raffaella is a wonderful person, also her husband and son, beautiful and very nice people
