Bath Sullivan

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Bath Sullivan

Post by darkerhorse »

Can someone with access to Ancestry.com post the immigration record for a man whose name they transcribe as "Bath Sullivan", who I think arrived on April 9, 1893 in NYC?

Thanks.

Can you find the dates/places of departure and arrival, plus the ship's name?

I wonder if the destination is Boston. It seems odd that he from Ireland and the three above him from England would be heading for such a smaller town.

Let me know if you find it again.

You can also find this passenger list by searching under the missing manifest option on the stevemorse.org website. The cover sheet with the info about the ship name and arrival date is M237, roll 612, frame 112. If you jump ahead to frame 144, there is a page with the ship's return arrival in England which was July 6, 1893. He was passenger # 626 on the passenger list and his destination was Boston.

Yes, I did see that yesterday, and I've concluded that's him. The immigration record is consistent with his name, age, place of residence in Ireland, destination in NY, and with his date of arrival on his later naturalization papers.

Thanks for the help.

I wondered if the one on family search could be the right one since the date is only one day different from the day in your initial post. Always happy to help you.
