At a genealogical "stomp"! Hearsay, is that my great grandfather's mother's maiden name was CINQUE of Vico Equense. We hear that this name is popular in Vico Equense. We know for sure that my grandmother was born in Vico Equense, but we can not confirm if her parents were born there as well. My great grandmother's maiden name was Caccioppoli, and her mother could have been a Scala . Any help or direction how I can confirm if they were born there or not. Time period would be between 1855-1875. We know that marriage records normally indicate names of parents, so my great grandparents would have married between the years 1885-1892.
