I've attached a scan of Record No. 16 from the 1897 Leonessa death records for what I believe to be for Maria Zampetti.
Any assistance with the translations of the details would be greatly appreciated. Of specific interest is her age at death, place of birth, person reporting the death, etc.
I was really hoping this record would finally give me the names of her parents, but even with my level of understanding these records and handwriting, it doesn't look like that information was known by the person reporting her death. Confirmation of what is written in those sections would be helpful.

1897 Atti di Morte - Maria Zampetti
Re: 1897 Atti di Morte - Maria Zampetti
Though her parents are unknown, her place of birth is
identified as Spoleto. Perhaps a lead?
Declarants were: Sabatino Faustini, 32, hatmaker; and Luca Chiaretti, 66, peasant, both residents of Leonessa.
The witnesses appear to bepeople who worked at the town hall.

Tessa -
Thank you once again for your assistance with the records for this branch of my family.
Can you please confirm my reading that she died on 11 Feb 1897 at the reported age of 56.
I agree that the Spoleto lead of a birth place is a good new lead. It confirms the researched that it does not appear that she was born or married in Leonessa. I would be more confident in the specific fact if the informants were her husband or children (all of whom were alive in Leonessa at the time) or they knew the parents names.
I will now need to put together a research plan to find what records are available for Spoleto, it does not appear to be in the same digital archive that I have been using for my Leonessa and Villalba lines (Currently it shows: Status of digitization activities - SCHEDULED https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/archivi ... n/?lang=en).

Re: 1897 Atti di Morte - Maria Zampetti
Yes, Maria died on 11 February 1897 at 8:50 AM in the house in Via Corso Vittorio (no number). She was age 56.
It is interesting to note the words used in the record for the parents.
"padre incerto" - father uncertain
"madre ignota" - mother unknown
Since her husband, Francesco Boccanera, was still living... you would think he would have known that information.
