Rome birth records 1940's

Hi All,

I'm after birth records from the commune of Rome 1930's - 1940's, are they accessible without physically being in Rome or do I need to hire a local Genealogist for the area?
If that's the case then could anyone recommend on who to use?

Birth records of that time are protected by privacy, as most of the people they are related to, are still living.
So, they are not directly accessible, and won't be issued by Town Offices unless you prove you are a descendant, and have a legal interest about it. Depending on the info you're looking for, you might try in Internet.

Rome has already archived those records and even if you (or a genealogist, or lawyer) asks for a copy getting them to go to the archives is virtually impossible. I currently have 3 requests outstanding, one for over a year!

To be able to find birth records from the Rome community in the 1930s - 1940s is really a difficult thing and until now I think there will be no way to find it, I am wordle nyt very sorry to tell you that.
