Hello:
I am researching a 16th century Italian painting (probably Florence or Milan), executed on a wood panel. To the reverse of the panel is an attached paper or vellum label with script handwriting, perhaps applied with a brush. This may be the name of a previous owner, or something else entirely.
This appears to me to be in an old hand.
My hope is that someone on this board may be able to decipher the script. Attached is an image. Happy to send a high resolution image, as well as provide any additional information.
Many thanks for your consideration.
Best,
David
