Ship Manifest - Genoa to Argentina

Post by ffusiak »

I am helping another researcher and they have relatives that immigrated from Poland to Argentina via Genoa. Does any know if images of the ship manifest are available. He is listed in the CEMLA site, but other than Poland, it does not list his original village. I was thinking it was just not transcribe into the database.

Try if you find that ship and trip on Family Search ( not very easy to browse)

https://www.familysearch.org/records/im ... pes=130662

It seems other documents of the National Archive have been recently published, but I don't know the details.

In this case, if the CEMLA site does not list the original village of the individual from Poland, it is possible that the information was not transcribed into the database or may be missing from the available records. It might be worth exploring other resources, such as local archives, immigration records, or genealogical societies that specialize in Polish immigration to Argentina, to gather more specific information about the individual's origins.
