Luigi Gemelli

[Primo Mattino]

Can anyone find me some information about Luigi Gemelli who came to the U.S. as a child? He emigrated in the early 20th century? I can't find him in the Ellis Island records. He appears to have traveled back and forth a couple of times, eventually settling in Condofuri Marina in Calabria. He was a child of unknown parents.

Thank you Tessa, Luigi Gemelli was baptized on July 2, 1892 and married in church on September 11, 1924, both in Amendolea a fraction of Condofuri. According to his granddaughter, he had 2 or 3 children in America, including the father of the lady for whom I am asking this. She knows nothing about her grandfather's life in the U.S. except that (according to stories) he lived in Brooklyn and sold ice there with a cart. Her father was supposedly born there. Luigi Gemelli returned to Italy with his children, where he married and stayed.

The name of her father and son of Luigi Gemelli was Antonino Gemelli.

He is 35, and works as an ice deliveryman.
Wife is Francesca
Daughter is Yolanda (Iolanda?), age 4.
