Translation of Birth Record - Giuseppe Gandolfo

Post by Road2Gandolfo »

Hello! Can someone help with the translation of this birth record from Marsala, Sicily? I have attempted to translate the document myself but am having a hard time with some of the translation. It is the first record on the page

Name: Giuseppe Gandolfo
Page 201, number 1216

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 96/wQqGyRq

My attempted translation:

In the year Nineteen Hundred, on the seventeenth day of October, at eleven o'clock and thirty minutes, in the communal house.

Ahead of me Paolo Pugliese Secretariat at the third division (meant as an administrative office of Town) delegate with act already appointed on thirty-one July 1892 as Civil Registry Officer of the Municipality of Marsala appeared Gandolfo Vincenzo thirty-four Carter, domiciled in Marsala, who declared to me that at nine o'clock, on the second day of the last month?, in the house located in Villa Pietro Cappuccini at number 9, by Francesca Arini his wife domiciled with him. A male child was born who he showed to me, and to whom he gave the name Giuseppe.

Present as witnesses to the above and to this act were Struppa Maria, aged seventy duna di casa?, and Francesco Ottoveggio, aged fifty-two, farmer, both residents of this municipality. After reading the present act to the standing people, they all said they can't write, so it was signed by me only

Thank you so much. There is still one part I am not sure of. It is the area in reference to Struppa Maria

Before me, Paolo Pugliese, Secretary at the third division (indicating an administrative office of the town), delegated by a previously appointed act on the thirty-first of July 1892 as Civil Registry Officer of the Municipality of Marsala, appeared Gandolfo Vincenzo, thirty-four years old, a carter by profession, domiciled in Marsala, who declared to me that at nine o'clock, on the second day of the last month, in the house located at Villa Pietro Cappuccini, number 9, by Francesca Arini, his wife domiciled with him, a male child was born, whom he showed to me, and to whom he gave the name Giuseppe.
