Marriage No 1 Gabriele Mele and Maria Carmela di Mauro
Atrani: 25 January 1862
Married Parish of Atrani on 16 January 1862
Groom: Gabriele Mele, 25 yo, who had been exposed in Salerno, a lavoratore di pasta (dough kneader a possibility), living in Atrani, son of the State.
Bride: Maria Carmela di Mauro, 23 yo, born and living in Atrani, daughter of Raffaele (di Mauro), a day labourer (bracciale), and of Lucrezia Proto, both living in Atrani.
It then lists the attachments which were presented:
1. Exposition Certificate of the Groom
2. The Certificate released from the Secretary of the Administration Commission of the Foundling Home of the town of Salerno attesting that the groom, was exposed in the wheel of this town on 31 March 1836 and that on the following day (1 April 1836) was consigned to the wetnurse, Maria Esposito, wife of Antonio d’Amato of Atrani.
3. The Extract of Birth of the bride.
4. Extract of Pubblications made in the town of Atrani.
The parents of the bride were present at the Act to declare their consent.
All signed the document except the bride and parents who were unable to write.
