Hi everyone. I really can use your help. A friend who is turning 96 on 19 September 2024 really would like to have a family tree. I am trying to help with this but again since her parents Enrico and Agnes were born in Italy. I am having a hard time helping her. Here is what I know and it isn't very much.
Her father Enrico “Ricci” Bruschi was born 16 oct 1888 or 89 in Genoa, Città Metropolitana di Genova, Liguria, Italy. he died 5 Sep 1962 in Hawthorne, Westchester, New York, USA.
I believe his father is Louis Bruschi, I have no info on him. Louis wife is Jennie Calestine or Colestine.
Enrico could have been married twice.
I know Enrico Bruschi was married to Agnes Paccione or Agnes Paccoma. She was born in Bari, Italy 2 May 1898 and died 11 May 1960 in Orange County, NY. Agnes's parents were Angelo Paccione and Lerisa Mele. I have no information on either of them. Thier daughter whom I am asking your help for is Theresa Bruschi born 9 Sep 1928 in New York.
Any help with these people and possibly others in that family I would be so thankful to you. If you want you can email me directly to baird@twc.com
Thank you hope to hear form some one soon for I am running out of time.

Let's get you started...
and you can clear up some errors in family history
Here is the birth act of Agnese Paccione in Toritto, Bari, in 1898.
#143
Dated 5 May 1898 - birth on 2 May 1898.
Father: Michele Paccione, a mason, residing in Toritto
Mother: Teresa Mele, peasant farmer, his wife
The child was born at 12:20 PM on 2 May at their home in Via Oliva dolce #32.
The child was presented to the official by the midwife Grazia Biase, 43.
She was given the name AGNESE
The midwife made the declaration and presentation because she assisted with the birth, and because the husband of Mele was found to be abroad.

EDIT TO ADD:
This may be the arrival of Enrico Bruschi in 1901 at port of New York.
He was age 13, and his destination is uncle Genoveffo Celestini (you mentioned above that his mother was Celestini? - though you spelled it differently)
What has me stumped is the last place of residence is listed as Tomolo.???

Are you asking for a "word for word" translation? OK
Year 1898 day 5 of month May at 9:25 AM in the town hall.
Before me, Councillor Gaetano Scarangella, Mayor, and official of the civil state of the town of Toritto, appeared Grazia Biase, daughter of deceased Agostino, age 43, midwife, residing in the town of Toritto, to declare to me that at 12:20 PM on the 2nd of the current month, in the house in strada Oliva dolce #32, to Teresa Mele, peasant farmer, wife of Michele Paccione, mason, both residents of this town, was born a female child who she presented to me, and to whom was given the name Agnese.
To the above recording of this act were present to give witness: Gerardo Panza, 57, farmer; and Oronzo Schiraldi, 53, farmer, both residents of this town.
The declarant declared the above birth having indicated that she assisted in the birth; and in place of the husband of Mele as he was not able to declare it because he was found to be abroad.
I read the above act to the participants and only the declarant signed with me as the witnesses were illiterate.
NOTE: Usually the declaration was made by the father of the child, but in this case Michele was away. AND.. the witnesses to the record were of no relation to the family. They just happened to be at the town hall at the time.:

It looks like that Michele Paccione made the trip Italy-USA quite a few times.
If you digit his name and surname here you’ll be able to track some of his trips:

Agnese Paccione from Toritto arrived on December 16th 1916 on ship Giuseppe Verdi, she goes to join her father Arcangelo. Line #12

Her father Michele second name was Arcangelo as you can see on the following birth act of her sister Rosa born in Toritto on March 23rd 1896.

Re: Enrico Bruschi and his wife Agnes Paccione
Here is some more information. I believe Enrico Bruschi might have been married twice. But I really can't confirm that. I found a Henry Bruschi on ancestry.com that shows he had a wife named Maria Boglioli born about 1887 in New York and died Abt 1912 in Caneso, Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Married Manhattan, Kings, New York, USA 1908. I believe they had one daughter together a Katherine Bruschi born 1910 in NY and died feb 1996. I also have a Katherine Bruschi from the marriage of Enrico and Agnes Bruschi. So I am not sure if I have this right. Maybe there is an obituary for Maria Boglioli since she died in Italy. Thanks for your help in all of this.
Re: Enrico Bruschi and his wife Agnes Paccione
Not sure 100% but this could be Michele’s birth. #215
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 39/LpkoBr1
Born in Toritto on 14th December 1862.
Son of Giuseppe (we know that Giuseppe was his father’s name as stated in Rosa’s birth act) and Felicia Santantonio.
However his name is only slightly different from the one we know.
Here is Angelo Michele. We saw that he was mainly called Michele and also Michele Arcangelo. But the years match and also does the father.

Yes, you’re right.
Maria Boglioli must have been Enrico’s first wife.
