According to 1900 Census she repots 7 children and marks 7 living.

Says she born Nov. 1850 and married 1866.

Maybe we can find her birth and marriage.

Thanks allot.

This appears to be their first child...
A daughter, Angela Maria Germana Pepe
#103
Birth on 9 October 1866
There is a notation of her marriage with Giovanni Gigliello on 3 October 1885.
Birth act

Marriage act of Angela Maria Germana Pepe
#24
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 79/LNbOp8l

So she probably stayed in Italy...
Or traveled with her husband, and possible children. Look for the surname Gigliello in the census records living close to Michele and Maddalena

ADD:

Lucia birth date - 14 November 1886

Carmine birth date - 3 April 1881

Marriage of Michele Arcangelo Pepe and Maddalena Scarpa
#3
Dated 19 February 1866
Groom: Michelarcangelo Pepe, 29, unmarried, laborer, residing in Bellosguardo, son of deceased Francesco Pepe, and of living Maria Valitutto
Bride: Maddalena Scarpa, 18, unmarried, laborer, residing in Altavilla Silentina, daughter of deceased Francesco Scarpa and of living Angela Iannuzzelli.

hat gets the 7 children.

I also found on Family Search,
Maddalena Caterina Scarpa born 21 Nov. 1848. States father Francesco Scarpa and mother Angela Iannuzzelli. The place Altavilla Silentina.

Maybe this the right one.

Thanks for all the info. We now have seven children for them.

Maybe you can find birth act for Nicolo Distefano. He listed as husband of an Angela Pepe. It on Marriage certificate New York dated 23 Sept. 1892. His father listed as Antonio and mother, Rosa Mazzrelo. He born 1860 in Italy. Maybe he from same area as Angela Pepe born 30 June 1871 in Altavilla Silentina.

Thanks. Hope with additional info to learn more.

In looking back on birth act of Maddalena Caterina Scarpa 21 Nov. 1848 Does it give age of her parents Francesco Scarpa and Angela Iannuzzelli. Trying to find when they were born. Thanks.
I think I found another daughter of theirs. It is Carminella Agostina Scarpa born 12 Agosto 1843 in Altavilla Silentina. Is this right and is there a birth act?
