Re: Arpino - Sant'Elia Fiumerapido
Hello, i wonder if you could please help?
My GGreat Uncle married Maria Antonia Arpino in Bristol, UK in 1909.
Maria was born in Italy around 1892. Her Fathers name was Benedetto.
That is all i know unfortunately.
I am interested to know both her parents names, and where in Italy they are from?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Jamie

Hi Jamie
Unfortunately I havent been to the FHC recently but hopefully I'll be going back shortly. All I have there are the records for Sant'Elia Fiumerapido and I do have the birth records for around 1892.
What I can do is have a search to find out if there is a birth recorded for a Maria Antonia Arpino (I take it Arpino was her maiden name) whose father's name was Benedetto but because you dont know where in Italy she is from even if I find one that matches the above in the Sant'Elia Records you're not going to be 100 percent sure that this is the correct one. Never the less next time I'm at the FHC I'll have a search to see if I find anything but as I dont know when I'll be going please keep checking the post and if I find anything I'll send you a private message to let you know I've posted some information.

Re: Arpino - Sant'Elia Fiumerapido
Hello, not sure if this thread is still open or not?
I have recently found a baptism certificate for my great grand aunt in Bolton. Maria Di Cicco, her parents were Antonio and Michaela Di Cicco.
Listed as her Godparents are Nicola and Elizabetha Arpino. The Di Cicco's lived on Hannover Street before going back to Italy where they had more children before 2 of their children came back married, Josie to Raffaelo Minchella, and Maria to Joseph Ferina (Ferry). I'm not sure if Antonio and Michaela came back to England yet, I'm still researching this, but I beleive the Di Cicco family came from Valleluce.
Do you know if the Arpino family on this certificate are from the same family as the ones in this thread? Did they come from Valleluce too or near by? It's the 1st time I've come across this name shortly after reading this thread, then found the certificate.
Raffaelo and Maria Minchella are my great grandparents and I'm having trouble finding records for them in Italy, I now know they got married in St marys church, cassino, 24th December 1931, but struggling to find a record of this other than Raffaelo's army records. Has anyone any clue where this church is? Or if these names ring a bell? Could the Arpino's and Di Cicco's just know each other from Bolton or is there a family link/ relation in Sant'Elia?
Any help appreciated
Justen
