Italian Military unit histories

Does Italy have an Archives for their 19th century Military? My Great Grandfather was in the 10th Bersaglieri (marksmen) Corps. and I was wondering if there are any records from this unit dating between 1891 and 1898 that can be searched?

I have a copy of his military record, but I need more detailed information.
