Re: fidelis stabile
Thank you much erudita,
will go look for records.. I have barbara as 1778 under iacono. Maybe there are 2.
Personally naming a child barbara sounds quite odd for a sicilian..
Best

There is one other possible child of Vincenzo and Rosa Zito born in Bisacquino and one definite I found the other day that I never got a chance to add here.
In the index I found a Providenza Stabile born to a Vincenzo and Rosa Stabile folio 195;(baptisms 1767 to 1773). However, when I went to the page, she wasn’t there, nor were any of those listed above and below her in the index. I checked quite a few pages before and after this one too. Since Rosa’s surname is not given in the index, I can’t be certain this Rosa is theirs. Possibly the 9 should have been a different digit.
Another definite child was Pasquale Stabile born June 7, 1772 in Bisacquino to Vincenzo Stabile and Rosa Zito. He’s on folio 549 image 331 of 385.

Re: fidelis stabile
Providenza Stabile Aug 21, 1769 in Bisacquino. In the margin her name is Cascio, which is an error. The godparents were father and daughter with the loCascio/Cascio surname. Folio 195, image 153 of 385,
The father in the record is Vincenza Stabile. The mother is Rosa, then there are the letters Sta, but that is all. Her surname is not given. So I think it’s Rosa Zito, but can’t be certain.

Re: fidelis stabile
Hello Erudita,
Rosa Zito died in 1775 so any date prior to that should belong to Rosa Zito I believe
I will look for providenza thanks
I remember a Pasquale as i remember asking if that could be Fidelis and when you looked at it you stated it could not be Fidelis
I have not found Gaspare's information Birth, Death, Married to confirm he was a separate person yet.
Thanks much
Linda

I haven’t been able to track down a separate Gaspare either.
Do you have the Rosa Stabile who was born Sept 23, 1810? Folio 115, image 212 of307. Daughter of Fidele Stabile and Antonina Mistretta.
I also see her in the Cresime/confirmation records for Campofiorito-confirmed at age 1. #129, image 41 of 195. You may not know this, but the bishop didn’t go to these towns every year, so infants, and even individuals in their 30s, may have received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the same time.
That’s all for tonight.

I have to get ready to leave soon, as we’re helping with our granddaughter this week.
Anyway, can you just give me the years of birth of the children of Fidele and Antonina that you have. I now see that Rosa and Joseph were twins-born Sept 23,1810. I have Anna marrying in 1824 to Joseph Reina. Date Sept 13, 1824.
But I also have a baptism in 1821 Aug 19 for a Giuseppe Stabile -mother’s name on record was Antonina Quartana Stabile and not Mistretta. I think I did that one with Mary. Father was Fidele.
Anyway, have to get going now.
Thanks

Re: fidelis stabile
Hello Eruidta,
I have tried 3 times to send the information and it gets erased. I should have copied it but sadly i did not. BUT i have an idea
on familysearch.org
my father's ID is GF5B-MFK Francesco Filippo Stabile
yet this may be the best to look at
Fidelis's ID # is L1JZ-XMF
this may be the easiest way to get the info to you.
Please let me know if this works
If not I will type it all up again.
Thanks so much for your help

They were easy to find on family search just by searching their first and last names on the family tree search option.
I hadn’t found Stefano when I searched the records, but I did find an Antonino Stabile which you don’t have. Born July 26, 1814 folio 164, image 237 of 307, Campofiorito baptisms. The mother’s name on the record is written as Quartana with Mistretta written above that. So 10 instead of 9 children, it seems.

Re: fidelis stabile
Hey erudita,
Excellent.I'm glad that it was easy to find.
I'm not sure if you're able to see my whole tree.hopefully you can. if not, you can use the two I.Ds to start from the beginning as my father, the first deceased on my tree.
I will add the tenth child. All I can say.Is she definitely was busy having children?Although there are a few years in between that make me wonder if they would children during those times heaven forbid.I hope she got a few minutes rest.

Re: fidelis stabile
Erudita,
as you stated above " I have Anna marrying in 1824 to Joseph Reina. Date Sept 13, 1824."
Anna of Fidelis Stabile and Antonina Mistretta was born in 1816.
That would be too young to marry
Do you agree or is this another Anna?
Thanks,
Linda

Re: fidelis stabile
Anna was born in 1816. I looked at the marriage record again yesterday, after I found the baptism record, and she married in 1834 and not 1824. Sorry for the confusion. Only 1 Anna. The record should be folio 189, image 119 of 387, Campofiorito marriages to Joseph Reina.
