DeMartini Family Lorsica to San Francsico

Post by K. Harmon »

Hi
I am researching my great-great-grandmother, Maria Rosa Angela DeMartini, born Feb 15, 1850, in Lorsica, Italy. I believe her parents are Guiseppe and Giovanna DeMartini. I have attached digital birth record but cannot read the whole document. I am wondering if any clues would help me find Guiseppe and Giovanna as there seems to be a lot of people with those names. Thanks! Katy

In this birth/baptism record Giuseppe Demartini's father is identified as Gio Batta [Demartini], and he is living.

Giovanna's father is deceased Gio Batta Demartini.

The godparents are: Bartolomeo Cella, son of deceased Girolamo; and Rosa Demartini, daughter of deceased Antonio.

Both the father and godfather are identified as "well-to-do" (benestante); and the mother and godmother are identified as weavers (tessitrice)
