Vigliotti Family
Looking for some help on gathering about my 5th, 4th and 3rd great Grandparents. Not sure if what I am going to say here is 100% accurate. My wife's 3rd Great Grandparents were Angela Vigliotti born I believe 1833 in Arienzo, Casteria, Campania, Italy and died 13 Dec 1901. Her husband was Vincenzo Crisci Born 10 Nov 1832 also in Arienzo.
Her 4th Grat Grandfather was Pasquale Vigliotti born about 1805 in Arienzo Casteria, Campani, Italy and died 10 Jan 1866? His wife is Mariangela Carfora.
5th Great Grandfather which I have no information on except the name Pietrangelo Vigliotti.
Any information on and of these people I would be very appreciative of.
If any documents, you send me in Italian could you have them translated to English.
Thanks
Dave Baird

Re: Vigliotti Family
This is birth record #26 dated 3 March 1830 in Arienzo.
Before the official at the town hall appeared Giovanni Crisci, 32, peasant farmer, resident of the town, to present a male child who he declared was born to Maria Porrino(sp?) , his legitimate wife, age 27, residing with him.
The child was born at 9 am on 3 March in the home they inhabit.
The child was given the name Vincenzo.
Witnesses to the recording of the birth were Vincenzo Crisci, 36, shoemaker; and Pellegrino Diglio, 46, peasant farmer.
Right column is the baptism in the church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo in Arienzo on 3 March.

Re: Vigliotti Family
Thank you so much for doing all of this.
Re: Vigliotti Family
Happy to help!
When I could not find Angela or her father in the records for Arienzo, I searched nearby towns.
Angela Vigliotti was born in Santa Maria a Vico, neighboring town.
Here is her birth act...

Witnesses to the recording of the birth were Antonio Lucia, 53, guard; and Pellegrino Porrino, shoemaker.

Here is the baptism/birth of Pasquale Antonio Vigliotti in March 1790.
It is a church record and in Latin.
You may want to post the link in the translation forum...

Re: Vigliotti Family
The record link I posted above is an extract of the baptism of Pasquale Antonio Vigliotti (spelled with an ending "a" in the record.
It is from the parish of S. Andrea Apostolo.
Year 1790, date 20(?), month March, was baptized an infant born of Petro Angelo Vigliotta and Aurelia Vigliotta, married couple. The child was given the name Paschalis Antonius (Pasquale Antonio). Godmother appears to be Fortunato Villano. I do not see a godfather mentioned.
And the extract of baptism of Mariangela Carfora
Parish of S. Andrea Apostolo
Year 1797, day 11, month December, was baptized an infant born of Angelo Carfora and Gesumina Carfora, married couple. The child was given the name Mariangela.
