Military Record Translation

Post by porta1412 »

Hi all,

Can someone please help me with a couple parts im missing.

- What was the military district he was assigned to on 12th September 1931? Cannot read the name
- On the 3rd page where it shows his campaigns, what is the districts he was assigned to? Cannot read the names.
- Can anyone explain the 2 campaigns he was in?
- The extra attached letter talks about a medal for the current war, what medal would that of been in 1931?

Thanks all

For the last question:
the date of the document
1-7-43-XXI means 1 July 1943 , year 21 of the Fascist Era;
the war is the II WW

On the 3rd page, there are no campaigns, but he was assigned to the 2nd company as rifleman on April 14th, 1931, then he was assigned to the 3rd company on September 10th, 1931 as attendant for a official with family.

There are also the personal valutation about strength (high in 1931, enough in 1932), behaivor on duty (best in 1931, good in 1932), behaivor off duty (best in both 1931 and 1932), furniture care (high in 1931, enough in 1932), military education (enough in both 1931 and 1932) and school education (3rd class of primary school).

After the military, he lived in Raccuia, Messina Province.

Hi all,
Thanks so much for all the responses, greatly appreaicted.
My question is, he only was in the army from 1931 to 1932 which was not during WW2 so why was he allowed to wear a ww2 medal?
Also what would that medal of been? The Italy Star?
Thanks all
