Salvatore Martorana death

Post by lyn1982 »

I need wives name and cause of death for Salvatore Martorana here:

top left https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... =en&i=1488

Parents should be Calogero Martorana and Carmela Falzone. Looking for wife's name and cause of death - and if it doesn't have cause of death was hoping someone with access to archiviostoricodiocesiag site could view it and tell me - its in Porto Empedocile 1896 deaths the one with file name 085 its on left side.

Sal’s Death Oct 23, 1896 at age 33. Burial in the holy field. No cause of death given. There are the Latin words which translate to “corrupted by death,” but I see them used in other records in this section, and I don’t know if they have some hidden meaning. He had also received the holy sacraments (not specified), but they would be Penance/Confession, Holy Communion/the Eucharist, and Extreme Unction/the Last Rites.

@mmogno

Thanks for the clarification about the cause of death, G. Also I didn’t notice his wife’s name at the very end of the record.
