Hello,
I have been trying for months to locate and obtain a copy of my maternal grandparents long form original italian marriage certificate. Their details are as follows:
Groom: Gyula Bosznay
Bride (maiden name): Vittoria Savorgnan
Date of marriage: 8 October 1949
Place of marriage: Udine, Italy
My maternal grandmother was Italian, born in Bicinicco, Udine on 6 June 1925.
Important: I am not requesting an extract (“estratto per riassunto”). I am after the full, long-form marriage record, including all original details and signatures.
I have been unable to obtain this record directly from the Comune di Udine as I am residing outside of Italy, and they do not respond to my email requests. I would greatly appreciate any assistance/tips/pointers/clues as to how to get a copy of their marriage certificate.
thank you very much.

Re: Trying to obtain documents - marriage certificate from Udine 1949
Hello,
if you don't have a "legitimate interest" for a long form certificate (called "copia integrale") they won't provide it.
Genealogic research is not included.

Re: Trying to obtain documents - marriage certificate from Udine 1949
First verify that all data are correct;
the husband was not Italian?
Why did they marry in Udine?
Ask a "copia integrale" to be used to ask recognition of Italian citizenship .
The document should be sent without any payment,
by e-mail, if you want it in paper, sent by mail, it may be more difficult as usually the comune doesn't
do it and in any case , they will ask payment for postage (better by registered mail ).
