All good, Erudita. I agree, deciphering Sergio's name was tough. I did however, have an advantage because I remembered I had previously translated a record pertaining to Lucrezia and Mauro, which included their respective fathers' names, so was able to check my previous translation. I could see that the name probably began with "S" and ended in "gio". Will send you an email over Easter.

Re: Translate Birth
Sorry to be a nuisance but I have another two certificates to translate please.
They are both for Susanna Valente
Birth 1868 (record goes over the page)
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... QG?lang=en
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... bO?lang=en
Death 1867
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... q3?lang=en
I believe these are two separate children.
The death certificate relates to a birth in 1865 which I have already had translated.
It seems that this child at the age of 2 years and in the following year, another child was born and named Susanna.
The parents, Mauro and Lucrezia had two other children who were deceased and then went on to have other children and gave them the same name.
Hope this isnt too confusing. And thank you for your efforts.

On 28 September 1867, Gaetano Claudio (son of the late Berardino, a 54-year-old shoemaker residing in Molfetta) and Pantaleo Rottoli(?) (son of the late Nicola, a 60-year-old shoemaker residing in Molfetta) declared that Susanna Valente (daughter of Mauro Valente, a fisherman, and Lucrezia Cappelluto, a spinner; all residing in Molfetta) died at her home situated at Strada Catacombe #2 on 27 September 1867 at 10 o’clock in the afternoon. She was 30 months old.

The first letter of Pantaleo’s surname is a T, as in Terra di Bari in the records. The surname currently exists there in different spelling variations-Tattoli, Tatoli, Tatulli.

On 29 May 1868, Mauro Valente, a forty-year-old sailor and resident of Molfetta, appeared and presented a baby girl. He declared that she had been born on the same day, at 2 o’clock in the morning, to his wife Lucrezia Cappelluti, daughter of Sergio, at their home at #1 Strada Arco Materi. He named his daughter Susanna Valente.
