Legitimized by birth (margin notes)

I think I understand that the birth of Carmelo was legitimized by the marriage and that (I think) the surname switched (Perri -> Rombes), but then the mention of Domenico was confusing, as was a birth record for Domenico with no margin notes.

The third marginal note states that the name Carmelo Perri is to be changed to Domenico Rombes, in accordance with a court ruling of 25 September 1901.

Birth record of Carmelo Perri, presented by Felicia Caruso, 29 years old, midwife as job, living in Messina, who declared that Carmelo Perri was born in the house in Via S. Francesco n°5, on September 2nd at 9 o'clock to Giuditta Perri, wealthy woman as job, unmarried, living in Messina in a relationship with a bachelor man, she gave birth to a male child whom gave name Carmelo.
The declarant declared the birth on special behalf of Giuditta Perri, with a notary act of September 4th from Notary Francesco Chindemi living in Messina, that gave me and was put in the allegation volume.
After a sentence on March 20th, 1897 the name Carmelo is changed to Domenico.
After the marriage between Stanislao Rombes and Giuditta Perri he became a legitimate son on April 1st, 1897.
After the sentence of the justice court of September 25th, 1901 is sentenced that it must be written thet after the legitimation he was given the real name of Domenico Rombes son of Stanislao and Giuditta Perri.
