The next one, he married someone named Grazia in 1917 in Siracusa? I’m not sure of the wife’s surname.

It says that as the consequence of a judgement, the surname had to be Caglia Ferro, and not just Caglia.
If you read accurately, "Ferro" was added later in the text of the act.
the second annotation says he married Grazia Moncada from Siracusa in Siracusa on Dec 10, 1927 (?)
the last that he died in Russia, near the Don river, on Dec 23, 1942
