Antonio Canino and Fortunata Chumeria family

Seeking information on this family. I have found a 1910 Iberville Parish, LA census record for what appears to be the parents Antonio and Fortunata and two sons, Joseph and Charles Andrew living near each other. They immigrated to the US in the late 1880’s. They had an additional daughter, Rosaria, who was married to Salvatore Mauro in Iberville, 1890. However I have been unable to locate records in Italy. There are additional US records for Joseph including a citizenship petition that states he was born in Mezzojuso on June 21, 1881 and a World War II draft card that lists birth as June 21, 1879. I have gathered the available US records but would like to find marriage/birth records in Sicily that would provide correct last name spelling and confirmation of town of origin.

I found another child born to the same parents as the ones found by Pippo. A son named Antonino born on June 11, 1879. The father Antonino as well was age 40 and a villico/farmer at the time.

I can’t find a Joseph or Charles born on the dates you give.

I found a second daughter named Rosaria Canino born to Antonino Canino and Fortunata Scimeca. She was born in Mezzojuso on Oct 17, 1873. Have not located a death record though for the Rosaria born in 1868. Also have not located records for Joseph and Charles Andrew among the Mezzojuso records to prove that Scimeca is the correct spelling of their mother Fortunata’s surname. There are also missing birth records online for some years in the 1880s.
