9 Point Crown in the Tuscany Region - anyone know about it?

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

yes... you want know abt 9 point crown .... when are 9 point they NORMALLY means a royal town - but this only as symbol.. and however is a symbol of noble title...but it is impossible to say better, however:
FERRANTINO... is no a tipical Tuscany's surname..
FERRANTINI is a Tuscany's surname of many people, also noble in the past

http://www.archiviodistato.firenze.it/i ... errantini/

this Ferrantini family no descendants abt XV° century

here are all documents in Firenze archive abt Ferrantini people
http://www.archiviodistato.firenze.it/i ... mi_af.html

HOWEVER it was:
the FERRANTINO family with "LORD" title
the FERRANTINI family with "BARON" title

THIS means no that all people with this surnames are nobles, no, but that it was some family nobles....
for to say better it would be helpful almost to know the your ancestor birthplace in Italy and the first name... regards, suanj

This is what I was told by my family:

My Great Grandmother (Adele Bisconi) she had a love affair with someone that was called a Count who was married to another woman. This is how my grandfather (mi nonno) was born.
Mi Zia says that Adele was ridiculed and jokingly called La Contessa.

Arturo Trombini (to protect Adele's honor) married a pregnant Adele Bisconi. This is how the names Trombini and Ferrantino became one name.

As told: Arturo took Adele to Ravenna to save her honor in child birth and raised the unborn as his own son.

This is the problem - I can not find out where the family of Adele was from.

From when mi nonno spoke of this he said he was Christened with this family cloak and also had a crown (that was lost in world war II) with this cloak (Christening Gown)

The only information I found speaking of Ferrantino is this:
In 1295 Malatesta I da Verucchio was named "Signore" of the city, and, despite interruptions, his family held authority until 1528. Among his successors were: Malatesta II (1312-17); Pandolfo I, his brother (d. 1326), named by Louis the Bavarian imperial vicar in Romagna; Ferrantino, son of Malatesta II (1335), opposed by his cousin Ramberto and by Cardinal Bertando del Poggetto (1331), legate of John XXII; Malatesta III, Guastafamiglia (1363), lord also of Pesaro; Malatesta IV l'Ungaro (1373); Galeotto, uncle of the former (1385), lord also of Fano (from 1340), Pesaro, and Cesena (1378); his son Carlo (1429), the noblest scion of the family, laboured for the cessation of the Western Schism, and was the counsellor, protector, and ambassador of Gregory XII, and patron of scholars; Galeotto Roberto (1432); his brother Sigismondo Pandolf (1468) had the military and intellectual qualities of Carlo Malatesta but not his character.
This is on this web page: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/13057c.htm - it is in middle of second paragraph.

This is all I can find of this search

What is the difference of Lord and Baron?

I have not found any information that says what the difference is of Lord, Baron, and Count to see which direction I need to go.

Part of the reason I thought the family was from Tuscany is because on the map it is a straight route from Tuscany to Ravenna. More than any other area.

more: for to know something, and with precision, is better to know more abt Armando Trombini.. when emigrated or max aprox emigration year, where lived, etc.. because are some error.. for exemple BISCONI in Italy don't exist, are only 3 living person in Alessandria town area and I suspect that this surname is a mistaken version of Biscioni original or Busconi, but is a my idea, only...
the Trombini could be in Ravenna, Ferrara, Rovigo area etc... so, is better to work on the documents, because in italy are many families with 9 point crown as also many town's symbols... so it is impossible to say with precision... also because the spelling of surnames could be mistaken.. so by documents ( as draft registration card, censuses sheets, marriage act etc) we can understand better... when we know almost the Armando birthtown we can search in a precise area... suanj

Armando is the 1/2 brother to my grandfather.

I think he died in the 80's ... lived on the sea in Marina Del Ravenna.

His wife is possibly in that house because she was younger than Zio Armando.
