http://matera.site.voila.fr/Malerba/Cog ... i_1800.htm
and the plagiarist webpage is:
http://www.italven.netfirms.com/italia.htm
as any people can to look, the plagiarist copied also my link abt my webpage artworks:

NOW I wish to ask at plagiarist:
AS IT IS POSSIBLE that you copied a part of my webpage? without nobody my permission?

I do hope you manage to put this thief in their place Suanj...and remove YOUR work from their site.

This kind of thing obviously does occur and the palgiarist always hopes that it will never be noticed. How lucky that you found out.

Hi elba, what is strange, well, it is that this people is also a member of this forum.. what to say... is a bad thing.... I spent so much work days and months, for so much years, and in my searchs, when I found a interesting link I wrote it on the webpage, because the main error for the italians in foreign countries was and are the mistaken surname so I thinked helpful a webpage on my art website, just for to help.... where I copied the surnames, because it was impossible to make the appropriate link, however I mentioned the source and I made the source's link.

Also last year, I found a argentinian people that copied my work.. I wrote it and no reply and also 8O deleted my message from her guestbook... I'm displeased..
I don't wish to make problem to nobody, but it is no a right thing to make a similar copy work...
I made this topic just for let know that the plagiarism is really a bad thing on the web. ..
also i cannot understand as the mr plagiarist have a copyright website from 2005 year, when in this topic of Feb 2006 he let us know abt the new website http://italiangenealogy.tardio.com/Foru ... emiro.html
maybe I can to be wrong.........

Thanks for the support dear elba, kisses, suanj

Have you tried writing directly to "our Friend" and asking him to remove the links from his site or at least to provide the source/link to your site? I know how much work you've put into that site and I've used it often over the last couple of years.

And I wouldn't worry about causing them any trouble..its he who has caused you trouble by doing this. On the other hand, perhaps some don't understand what a copyright is?

*Copyright is defined as the exclusive right of a creator to reproduce, prepare derivative works, distribute, perform, display, sell, lend or rent their creations.

* As defined on this site: http://www.stfrancis.edu/cid/copyrightbay/bg002.htm

This site also may help anyone interesting in understanding what a copyright is..

http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/sD ... 41,00.html

I looked into this last year when we began using imageshack and other programs to upload info from ancestry. Public records or facts, cannot be copyrighted but the compilation of those records are (like the compilation of your site). The person or person using those records can not copy, word for word, or format by format the information as you have put it on your site and must site the source when using the material or provide a link to your site which should open in a new window..... another reason why I always try to site the source on my links. This person obviously has no concept about what he or she has done and needs to be educated. He has taken your format and reproduced it exactly!

I'm glad you reported it..hopefully you will get some satisfaction from your email.

Hi Nuccia,
I no contacted "our friend", because I wish that the hosting can to look that what I say is true.
In any case what I wish to say it is that he no asked my permission; surely I would have given; no problem for me because it is a webpage helpful for all italian descentants in the world and also in Venezuela, but to copy so, as we say in Italy" copiare pari pari" (to copy equal to equal) it seem a ineducated thing....
however he can to write in its webpage that is a exctration from my website... and the problem is no more a problem... now I changed some words on my page, maybe it will be more comprensible the question for our friend.... thanks a lot for the reply dear Nuccia, kisses, suanj

Hi wldspirit!
I believe that "our friend" is only a person that don't want to work! Because it was enough that it transcribed the links in an other way.. but so... to copy so... I believe that is so banal...!!! kisses, suanj
