It's a grave with a tombstone for Di Domenico in Delaware county, PA. There is no first name and no birth or death dates on it. In the same cemetary there are other Di Domenico's

Maybe a census search in Delaware county, PA the town of Yeadon might show something. I don't have a subscription to pull info. Maybe someone else can search.

Can someone please try and pull a census for 1910, 1920 and 1930 looking for Giovanni and/or Giuseppe De Dominicis/Domenico/Dominico - the town is Yeadon, in the county of Delaware the state of Pennsylvania.

As I said before, I found this census last week, but I don't think it is right because this Giovanni has 2 other brothers or family members.

The census you posted is for Allegheny county, the county and town I'd like to get checked are Delaware county in PA the town where the burials took place is Yeadon (in Delaware county).

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly. If I'm not, just let me know - and my apologies.

I have checked everywhere, there is no other census.
I just found an interesting RI death, but I have to wait until I get to the library tomorrow to look that up.

-ho cercato e letto circa 2000 records su ancestry.com... censimenti e arruolamenti 1917/8... non uno corrisponde al 100% alle caratteristiche che tu dai su Giovanni e Giuseppe..
-l'ultimo indirizzo conosciuto dei fratelli era a New York, NY... nel 1910 è presumibile che fossero in zona......... e niente...
-ci sono così tante persone con questo nome e cognome ma non un solo Giovanni.... o meglio ho trovato un Giovanni Di Domenico nato il 6 Feb 1877 e residente a Philadelphia nel 1910; era un abbordante... nel 1918 alla data di arruolamento dichiara che la moglie è Antonietta vivente a Phila, così niente da fare, la moglie del TUO Giovanni era Rosa ed è rimasta a Carinola........ Questo Giovanni sembra sparire nel 1920... quindi ho abbandonato la pista....
-dici che Giuseppe è tornato ricco nel 1930 in Italia... ricco.... o ha trovato una miniera d'oro nel Klondike o ha fatto un altro tipo di professione particolarmente arricchente...
- non sa nulla di Giovanni: strano.. due fratelli, sembrano legati dai manifesti di sbarco; uno va dall'altro e viceversa... come mai si perdono di vista..........?
-di tutte le altre storie e nomi menzionati, francamente li trovo dispersivi.. stiamo cercando ALMENO il censimento del 1910, e non c'è ....non con le caratteristiche che tu fornisci...... ma non è rara questa situazione....
-per "cavare un ragno dal buco" .. beh, Forse potrebbe aiutare la data di nascita di Giuseppe;
-e anche: chiedere al comune di Carinola se si trovi una registrazione di morte di Giovanni, queste registrazioni possono anche essere stae scritte dopo 10/15 e più anni dal momento del decesso
-se è morto avranno comunicato la morte ai familiari? e se si deve essere stata registrata a Carinola.... qualora vi sia ci dovrebbe essere anche l'anno di morte, sia essa stata violenta o meno, deve esserci qualcosa......
-magari sai dove Giuseppe visse negli USA, cioè dal 1907 in poi... in quale Stato?
-e' possibile che Giovanni avendo moglie e figli non abbia mai scritto, non ci siano lettere, ricordi, bonifici bancari etc.. a favore della famiglia in Italia? non avete conservato nulla? sarebbe importante....
so che tu sai solo quel che hai già detto, ma sapere la data di nascita di Giuseppe, anche, e conoscere se mandasse soldi in Italia, se la sua morte sia stata registrata in un qualche anno al Comune di carinola, se all'atto del matrimonio delle figlie risulta vivente o deceduto, beh penso che potrebbe aiutare a circoscrivere la cosa nel tempo,

I searched so much all the censuses but with no luck, also because your relatives didn't had a family with wife and childrens in America so it's difficult locate them....
The only record I found that can be interesting is:

If you know the date of marriage of Giuseppe you can compare....
Only to try to found others people near the two De Dominicis brothers, found the 1910 Census for Romeo Leschernieri (the friend they were going at the arrival in Ellis Island) in fact this man was living with his wife Rachele, his daughter Luisa and his brother in law Leone Henry just in 106 Th Street, New York.....

Laura... Giuseppe was born in 1878/9... from ship's manifest and Giovanni the 2 March 1877... I'm no sure that this is the same..... making the inverse search in WWI draft registration card:

for bad luck is very rare to find in WWI draft registration card a birthplace of a Giuseppe or Giovanni Di Domenico( aka de Dominicis).... and by Giovanni birthdate(2/3 March 1877) no luck... and of Giuseppe don't know the birthdate... only born in 1878/9.. the last knew address by 1907 ship's manifest is: 348 E 106th st New York... I believe is in Manhattan ... it is probable that in 1910 the brothers was in Manhattan... for both the wises remained in Italy... if Antonio can say us the Giuseppe birthdate maybe could be helpful... suanj

Thank you Suanj and thanks to you all.

I have had some family troubles in these days so i have had very little time for me.

I think that i must find more informations about Giuseppe, and this is what i will do in next days. I will contact his descendents, hoping they have some documents he has brought back from USA, or if they know something i don't know about their life there.

Seems to me they have intentional to make to lose the own traces.

I only hope they have not changed name, but i think this was not a easy or cheap thing.

hi Antonio, also it is very helpful to find the last memory abt Giovanni... he wrote sometime in Italy? sure and also it is sure that he sent some money him family in Italy... so, some memories must be abt this... the Giuseppe birthdate as also him name wife could me helpful... also Giuseppe back in Italy as a rich man... and what was him last knew residence in USA... also this is interesting...

I found this in Ancestry.com in Rhode Island Deaths. The strange thing is that there are no census results for Di Domenico in RI at this time.

Vorrei esservi utile, in tal senso vi informo che in una frazione di CArinola, denominata Casanova, vivono diverse persone con questo Cognome.

La ricerca di Dominicis in USA. Arrivato negli USA prima 1900, ritornati a Italia nessuno più. L'atto di decesso, il cemetary dove seppellito, voluto dal nipote di Dominicis. GLI USA ricercano penso. Un migliaio la ringrazia per le informazioni di scrivere per Carinola. Scusarsi il mio italiano, so soltanto poco.
