Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

SCIANS secondo me è Maurice ...

No...niente figli...ma forse era Biagio a farsi chiamare SCIANS...boh!

Prestianni, Mary C.
COLONIE Mary C. Murphy Prestianni, age 88, entered into eternal life
Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at home. Born in Albany, she had been employed for
more than 10 years by the May Company in Baltimore, Md. She was a communicant
of the Church of the Sacred Heart in North Albany. Daughter of the late
Francis P. and Kathleen McNamara Murphy. Beloved wife of the late Maurice F.
Prestianni; loving mother of Frances Lee Prestianni of Lawrenceville, N.J. and
Felicia Anne Lewis of Atlanta, Ga
.; dear friend of Charles Stegel; sister of
Thomas and John Murphy, Patricia Cazasta and Alicia Studo. Also survived by
two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A
memorial Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Saturday
morning at 9 o'clock to which relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Those desiring may send a remembrance in Mary's name to the Church of the
Sacred Heart, 33 Walter Street, North Albany, NY 12204.
Published in the Albany Times Union on 7/9/2004.

e sembra abbiano avuto figli.....

Marco, It is very interesting. I am also trying to learn more about my familyhistory. They family came from Bronte to NYC in the beginning of the1900s. I have been able to find records for some of the children but notthe parents. I know that my grandmother's name is Nunzia. Four of thechildren (including my father) come in 1910 and one son a year or twolater. More children were born in the US. Do you know when the parents came over? Frances

Penso sia lei...ti aggiorno...grazie suanj
