Family tree done in italy

Post by Conti832 »

A person I met in Pofi Italy sent me some of my family tree he is working on for me and something I don't understand. For my Grandfather Luigi
it has emigrato in chicago 21-04-1931.

My Grandfather came here in 1913 and lived in Sharpsville .Pa .My father was 3 in 1931 he could not have been there then.Could I be missing something that emigrato means ?

Do you think it might just be a typo 1931 instead of 1913?

Could you possibly give us his full name so that we can look and see if there is a manifest for 21 April 1913 or 1931? It may just clear things up!

Uh, oh. There were two Luigi Contis from Pofi who arrived in May 1913. Here's the one going to Sharpsville. Two page manifest

The person from Polfi, working on your family tree, is in error then and you should notify them. He or she probably found a Luigi Conti that emigrated in 1931 and thinks it's YOUR Luigi.
