Looking for any inforamtion on the Caruso name from NY. Anna Caruso Born: 1887 is all I have. She is my GGGrandmother and I would love to know of her siblings or Parents.

she was going to her husband Dominie Biase in New York, leaving in Italy (Rossano, mispelling for Rofrano?) her mother in Law Domina Carmela. Travelling with her child Antonia (5) and Maria (8)....

Looking for more on the Caruso family. Antonio Caruso is Anna Caruso's father. Anna Married Biagio Domine. Trying to find Antonio's wife (Anna's Mother)

Anna's mother was named Maria Donnantuoni, but that is all I know about her. Aunt Millie said that Maria and Antonio Caruso met each other in Rofrano - he was a shepherd and was in a field with his sheep, and she would walk by his field carrying wood on her head and they fell in love with each other like that (apparently, as was told to Millie).

I'm trying to find out more about their family too!

Oh, I also had another question for anyone who happens to look at this.

If you go into the ship manifest linked above for Anna, there is a section that says "name and address of closest relative in native country" (something like that), where Carmela Domine is listed. Under her name there is an address - I can see "Via", but I can't read the word after that.

If anyone could please help me figure this out - can you try to read it and see what her street address was? I would love to find out where the family lived in Rofrano!
