Post by pooleorch »

looking to trace my g/fs grandparents, they were PEDRO MANZANZANI (or may have been manzanzaniga or similar) born in 1876 went to ARGENTINA in 1879; living in Milan, Genova or Piamontes and his wife
Dominga Ballatorre who was born 2nd December 1867. She died in 1846 and he in 1950. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much

In Italy the town of origin is where all documents, history and records are located. Do you happen to know the town of origin? If you wish you can go to www.familysearch.org and look under ancesotr search and try to locate the correct spelling. Peter

HI: This surnames are sure misspelled: Ballatorre not exist, Bellatorre very probable is just spelling, surname of small diffusion and tipically of Piemonte and Lombardia region.
Manzanzani or Manzanzaniga not exists:
exist Manzan;
Manzani;
Mansani;
Maranzani;
Maganzani;
Malanzani;
Mazzaniga nearly extinguished(in the past sur present in Lombardia region);
perhaps in the past has existed Mozzanigo;
ditto for Mozzenigo.
