Massimo Ricci Family

Post by edanna »

pink67 If you have any information when Massimo Ricci, his wife Cesria, and children Eros (?) and Nadi immigrated to the US from Italy, I would appreciate it you would let me know. I believe they immigrated 1919-192l as their last child Louis was born in Seneca Falls, NY in 1922. Thanks for your time. edanna

MysterMike: Thanks for the info but I have a copy of the 1930 census and it doesn't really tell me what I what to know. I'm interested in finding the ship's manafest - name of ship, where they were going in the US, etc. So far I've no luck finding one. If you have any suggestions. I'd appreciate them. edanna

BillieDeKid: Thanks for the info. I already have this information: I don't think they are of the same family as the father's name in the Ellis Is. ship's manifest is Enrico and not Massimo. edanna

suanj: Thanks for the tip. In this case, Enrico and Massimo appear to be two different men from two different Ricci families. According to my third cousin's great-aunt, there was no one on their side of the family named Enrico and they have no familly living in New Jersey. Other than that, they have little other information on Massimo and his family.

Thanks for dyour help. edanna

but is very strange that the parents Ricci + Ambrosi had children, with same names: Eros and Nadi.... as your Massimo and Cesira.... Eros and Nadi are no very common first names... regards, suanj

Hi,

these are the annotation marks on 1920 arrival manifest for Enrico and family:

Enrico: 5-70337 10/3/36 505
Trieste: 7-172525 3/14/41 505
Eros: 5-70493 10/2/36
Nadi: 7-99568 3/9/38

5 or 5a INS Naturalization Offices : Buffalo, NY Syracuse, NY
District Boundaries & Jurisdiction: Western NY, PA (Bradford, McKean, Potter, Tioga, and Warren Co)

7 INS Naturalization Offices: Cleveland, OH, later BUFFALO
District Boundaries & Jurisdiction: Northeast OH, Northwest PA, Western NY

Maybe request the naturalization papers can show their exact identities? :? ......
Or, someone knows if Family History Centers have microfilms for naturalizations or petitions too???

This is what was posted on your other thread - birth place of Massimo Ricci- Montevedeo, Urugury. There is no such place in Italy.......it's Montevideo, Uruguay.

Laura and Suanj can you check to make sure I'm correct? Knowing where he is from could help in finding a manifest.

Thanks

Ciao Elizabeth! :D
Yes, you're right.... Edanna says Massimo Ricci was born in Uruguay, Montevideo....
In fact in the second arrival manifest (1920) Enrico is listed as born in Uruguay... in the first arrival (1906) his last residence is La Spezia - Italy, there is no birth place listed

The 1930 census for Ritchie Massimo shows his birth place Italy...
