Looking for info on Stango and Tamburrino
Looking for info on Stango and Tamburrino
I found everything there is to find in the US. Hoping someone out there knows alittle more from the other side of the Ocean. Teresa Stango from San Mauro Forte married Canio Tamburrino. His origin is still in question as his naturalization records state his town of birth to be Vaglia which is hard to believe. I believe he is from Vaglio Basilicata. I have no clue who his parents were.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
Can you post a manifest for reference?
Tamburrino is a very common name in Vaglio Basilicata.

The last person I know on the Tamburrino side is Canio Tamburrino born August 16, 1872, left from Napoli on the 23rd or 25th of march 1895 on the afika and arrived at New York on the 3rd of april

Is this the correct record?

Perhaps someone with Ancestry can post the manifest?

Thanks, I wonder why I wasn't able to find it. What is weird, is it is easily read. I searched for a month for information and I did find this

1930 Census
you probably already have this, but it helps others to get a grasp of what we're looking for...

Thanks mike, that wasn't his WWI draft registration as he never lived in Chicago
Re: Looking for info on Stango and Tamburrino
Thanks Mike,
But I don't know if you realize that if someone doesn't have a subscription to Ancestry, that link doesn't work. Same thing happened to me when I tried to post from Heritage Quest.
Thanks to vj, I learned to use

to post from paid sites.
But the real question is does the manifest give a town?

Thanks misbris... I was using the "browse" function which is the same as sending via email... and I thought it made it available to non-subscribers... but I'm glad you told me otherwise... suprisingly noone else has mentioned it...misbris wrote:Thanks Mike,
