In the next town over, Accetura, there's a hotel called the San Giuliano that's not too bad. I think there's one very small hotel in San Mauro Forte

rosaria lacovera and raffaele bisaccia are my great great grandparents - their daughter angela bisaccia married giuseppe lapetina in san mauro forte. Their son, Mauro, was my grandfather. I would like to share more information with you regarding the family history. I visited san mauro forte in october 2007 and have pictures of the town.

This is for blabella. I sent you a private message along time ago but you did not get it. Did you make the trip to San Mauro Forte? I do remember meeting Connie and Joe Cassano and going to their home to visit as a child. I have some of your family line already listed in my family tree. My mom's sister was married to Joe's brother, Pasquale, as well.
Re: SAN MAURO FORTE SURNAMES
Ciao everyone! I just found this post. My grandfather was Dr. Anthony Lacovara, from San Mauro Forte. He immigrated to New York City in 1903. My family's names (that I know of so far) are:
Canuso
Cifichello
Crachi
de Blasio
Fantasia
LaBella
Lacovara
Leone
Miraglio (not sure of spelling)
Onorato
Picone
Rota
Tericarico (spelling?)
Hope this helps.

Dear Heggar,
I think you will find that Tericarico (spelling?) is spelt Tricarico.

WOW! been searching for good info for awhile!
Beach Lady and Camille...hello!
Giannotti (and I think Urso...have to research that side a bit)
all in Bristol, CT
Great Grandfather: Mauro married to Laura Urso
Grandfather: Saverio - (his wife Phyllis Plocharsky) his siblings - James (Duke), Millie, Conny, Myrtle, Rosie
Mother - Jacqueline. (Dad is Edward Rapacky Jr.)
Honestly, my son Eddie (he's 8 and a history/geneology geek like me) and I would love to meet all the Giannotti's someday...I knew we were Yankee fans for a reason! should have a Reunion! We are in Plainville, CT
Look forward to hearing from you!
