Surnames - Lamberti, Mantione, Morreale

Post by calogera »

I'm new to this forum.
I'm trying to research my maternal family tree - My grandmother and grandfather were born in Italy and immigrated to the US as children.

Looking for information on the following families:

Morreale - Palermo
Lamberti - Naples
Mantione - Palermo?

Immigrated to NE Pennsylvania (Scranton, Carbondale, Pittston) in the late 1890's, early 1900's

Any help will be appreciated

Hi: on www.ellisisland.org ,you can find Mantione exact italian origin's place; Mantione surname probable coming from Montedoro(Ragusa province-Sicily)..
Morreale is surname present in Palermo; to this URL (Palermo's cemetery) are Morreale persons listed; not are Mantione...
